Guest speakers and industry specialists provide real-world perspectives, bridging theory to practice. Concurrently engaging in Work Experience, Job Prep equips you with vital skills for a smooth workforce transition.
HIVE Projects, held Mondays at the hub, offer hands-on skill development. Each term features a collaborative project simulating real-life workplaces.
Semester 1 focus is on the HIVE Cafe project, emphasizing hospitality skills like teamwork, online ordering, barista techniques, customer service, and inventory management. Reflecting on Job Prep knowledge, it highlights strengths and areas for improvement. Semester 2 shifts to HIVE Creatives, engaging in creative arts industry projects with skills applicable to mainstream work settings.
Work Experience runs every Tuesday where you apply the skills learned from Job Prep and HIVE Projects into mainstream workplaces.
