If you have an interest in animals and working in the animal care industry, then this foundational program is for you!
Learn about the responsibility of caring for pets and animals, covering the basics in pet care, animal handling, animal behaviour and people and animal safety. Through local excursions and guest speakers, you will get a first hand experience of different career options in animal care such as working in a vet, pet shop employee, zoo attendant, dog daycares and animal walking services.
Each week you will complete theory and practical tasks to give you the knowledge and hands on experience required.
